Patie,
this is Unbelievable. I visited and we discussed at length and you were just
your usual self. There was nothing to suggest otherwise. I promised to come
within the next one week and that was it. The next thing I heard was the sad
news! What really happened? Nne how do we start writing about Patie so that
those who didn’t know her at All Saints Cathedral will understand? Was it Patie
the super leader of the famous Group 3 women? I was privileged to be a member
of that super group. And wow she made a group to be proud of. That group was
always first and she gingered everybody to fall in line! What a Leader!
Was
it her involvement in Choir activities? Patie would sing her heart out and
compel anybody around to appreciate music. She was ever so ready to do God’s
work. She served as secretary in various church organizations like Parochial
Church committee, All Saints Cathedral Synod Secretary etc. Infact Patie was a
role model. A lady of many parts, very hardworking, A seasoned teacher and a super
cook. How could anybody visit Patie without her rushing into the kitchen to
prepare something delicious? Still it is
well, although it is sad to say Goodbye to a loving wife to her late husband,
Annie and a doting mother to Olisa, Ifeanyi, Chuka, Chike and the baby Uchenna.
And to your numerous friends, I say Take Heart.
We
have really lost somebody. Still we bear it because we know that you have gone
to a better place for well-deserved rest.
